Our Beginning
KDAWGZ Radio Online was created in Wichita, Kansas, by Marlon “Mr.2000” Pitmon—from a love for Black media and culture and a desire to preserve that culture in a positive, forward-moving way.
With experience in DJing, music creation, event planning and cultural curation, Mr.2000 brings the background and vision to lead a station built on good music, authentic voices and respect for the people who shape the culture.
Our Sound
R&B, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop and Gospel from the 1970s through the 2000s form the heart of KDAWGZ. New releases join the rotation when they fit the station’s energy and vibe.
Our Programming
Beyond music, KDAWGZ delivers original shows, podcasts, interviews, entertainment, community information and conversations that matter—including Beards & Brews, The Mr.2000 Experience and the late-night slow-jam show The Thunderstorm.

KDAWGZ is a Black-owned, independently operated, Midwest-based station rooted in Black music and culture while welcoming everyone. We speak especially to Generation X, Xennials and Millennials—and to anybody who appreciates good music and real conversation.

Our mission is to preserve culture and remind people that our music is part of the blueprint of who we are. We value integrity and respect for the artists, producers, creators and influencers who continue to move the culture forward.
